1. Field fluid management (oil & gas)
Our frac tanks cover temporary storage needs during active oilfield operations:
- Freshwater storage: water supply for hydraulic fracturing operations
- Flowback storage: containment of fluids returning from a well after stimulation
- Produced-water management: temporary storage before treatment or reinjection
- Well testing: fluid measurement and separation during completion stages
2. Cleanup and environmental remediation services
Their robust design makes them suitable for cleanup and environmental remediation projects:
- Refinery tank cleaning: temporary storage while large fixed tanks are cleaned
- Contaminated soil treatment: collection of sludge and liquids extracted during remediation
- Settling systems: a V-shaped bottom allows solids to settle while clean water is separated from the top
3. Chemical and fuel storage
With special internal epoxy coatings, tanks can be used for specialized storage:
- Chemical reserves: storage of acids, bases or industrial additives
- Backup fuel: temporary diesel storage for generators at remote sites
4. Support for industrial and manufacturing plants
Outside the oil industry, services also support industrial operations:
- Preventive maintenance (turnarounds): storage of wash water or process fluids during plant shutdowns
- Effluent control: industrial wastewater management when treatment plants fail
- Fire protection: temporary water reserves for emergency systems during network repairs
What is the difference between V-Bottom and Flat Bottom?
V-Bottom tanks have a sloped, V-shaped floor that concentrates solids and allows complete drainage. Flat Bottom tanks have a flat floor, cost less and are used for clean fluids. For heavy crude containing sediment, we recommend V-Bottom.
How are frac tanks cleaned?
Our vacuum unit extracts all residue from the bottom, followed by pressure washing and a second suction cycle. The process takes 1–3 hours, depending on the amount of accumulated sludge.
Can they store water for steam injection?
Yes. For softened or demineralized water, we use Flat Bottom tanks to avoid contamination from bottom particles. Boiler feedwater requires high purity, making Flat Bottom the most suitable configuration.
How many tanks can be installed together?
There is no technical limit. We have installed arrays of up to 20 interconnected tanks. Combined capacity scales linearly: 10 tanks provide 5,000 Bbl of total storage. The array layout depends on the space available at the location.
