Three stages in a modular plant

At Soluciones Delta, C.A. we provide end-to-end solutions for treating industrial effluents and produced water with high concentrations of dissolved and emulsified hydrocarbons. We apply advanced organic molecular biodegradation technology, complemented by modular treatment plants designed to extract, purify and condition the effluent, ensuring compliance with the most demanding environmental standards for reuse or safe final disposal.

  • Reusable water

Treated effluent can return to operations, reducing fresh water consumption and transport costs.

  • On-site treatment

Modular plants installed at the site: fewer truck trips and lower risk when moving contaminated fluids.

  • Dissolved hydrocarbons

Biodegradation targets the dissolved and emulsified fraction, the hardest to remove by physical methods.

  • Verifiable compliance

Water quality results and documentation to demonstrate compliance to the environmental authority.

Effluents we treat

We handle hydrocarbon-contaminated water streams that cannot be discharged or reused without prior treatment:

  • Produced water separated from crude oil at flow stations and tank farms
  • Industrial effluents from plants, workshops and refineries containing oils and grease
  • Oily water from tank and equipment washing and hydrojet cleaning
  • Free water decanted in frac tanks during oil recovery from pits
  • Runoff water from areas affected by crude oil spills
  • Water-in-oil emulsions with dissolved and suspended hydrocarbons
Organic molecular biodegradation

Free oil separates by settling, but the dissolved and emulsified fraction requires deeper treatment. Organic molecular biodegradation transforms it instead of transferring it to another waste stream:

  • Biological breakdown of hydrocarbon molecules into simpler compounds
  • Treatment of the dissolved and emulsified fraction, which does not separate by gravity
  • An alternative to methods that only transfer the contaminant into sludge or another waste
  • Water conditioned for reuse or safe final disposal
Modular treatment plants

We install modular plants at the site itself, close to the effluent source, sized to the flow rate and hydrocarbon load of each project:

  • Extraction: removal of free oil and suspended solids
  • Purification: biodegradation of dissolved and emulsified hydrocarbons
  • Conditioning: final adjustment of the water for its intended use
  • On-site assembly, without hauling large volumes of contaminated water
  • Scalable plants that can be relocated between sites as the project progresses
Operating process

Each treatment follows a controlled, documented procedure, from effluent characterization to delivery of the treated water:

  • 1. Effluent characterization: flow rate, hydrocarbon type and concentration
  • 2. Treatment design and sizing of the modular plant
  • 3. Effluent collection with a vacuum unit and storage in frac tanks
  • 4. Plant treatment: extraction, biodegradation and conditioning
  • 5. Quality verification of the treated water through analysis
  • 6. Reuse in operations or safe final disposal, with documentation
Environmental compliance and documentation

Treated water must meet Venezuelan regulations before it is reused or discharged. We support every project with the required documentation:

  • Treatment aimed at the limits of Decree 883 on liquid discharges and effluents
  • Handling of process sludge and waste under Decree 2635
  • Records of treated volumes and water quality results
  • Reports for environmental filings with the MPPEA

Answers to common questions about this service.

Discuss my project
What is the difference between separating oil from water and treating the effluent?

Settling and skimming remove the free oil that floats. But the water is still loaded with dissolved and emulsified hydrocarbons that do not separate by gravity. Effluent treatment removes that fraction so the water can be reused or discharged in compliance with regulations.

What is organic molecular biodegradation?

It is a biological treatment that breaks down the hydrocarbon molecules in the water into simpler compounds. Unlike methods that only transfer the contaminant to another waste, biodegradation transforms it, which makes the water easier to reuse.

Is the treatment plant installed at our site?

Yes. Modular plants are assembled close to the effluent source and sized to the flow rate and hydrocarbon load of each project. This avoids hauling large volumes of contaminated water off site.

What can the treated water be reused for?

It depends on the use defined by the client and on the water quality results: industrial processes, equipment washing or reinjection, among others. If it is not reused, it is disposed of safely within the limits of Decree 883.

What happens to the treatment residues?

Recovered oil can return to the production chain. The sludge and solids generated are handled through our waste management service under Decree 2635, with a manifest and final disposal certificate.
